Hospice Care Consultation

I am postponing hospice consultation care at this time to allow me to be more available to owners requesting short-notice end-of-life appointments.

It has been an honor to be trusted to help guide families through this difficult decision but moving forward, I will have owners work with their primary care providers for care and recommendations leading up to the time when my end-of-life services are required.

In-Home Euthanasia.

I will join you at your home with you and your pet. I can be flexible to be where you and your pet are most comfortable, be that the living room, kitchen, or outside area (weather permitting).
We will administer a combination of pain relief and anti-anxiety medications that will facilitate your pet falling asleep to a level of deep relaxation or as if they were in a deep sleep.

After the animal is relaxed and comfortable, the last injection will be administered, allowing them to pass away in their sleep.

We will then create personalized paw prints with your choice of ink and/or clay.

After Care.

Options are available to you for the after-care of your pet.
The most common option for aftercare includes cremation. You may choose to have your pet cremated with the individual return of ashes or cremated without the return of ashes.

When cremation is selected, I will personally facilitate the after-care of your pet.

It is not uncommon that owners will ask about at-home burial given that is a common tradition in humans. You may choose this option, however, be sure to follow local municipal guidelines to be aware of regulations and restrictions.

If you are not able to emotionally or physically bury your pet, you can choose to have a cremation performed and spread the ashes in your or your pet’s favorite place.
